Key Insights and Learnings
- Through stakeholder interviews, I learned that users are very comfortable with buying shoes online and prefer a user-friendly shopping app that allows them to quickly find and purchase their desired shoes.
- User research revealed that users prefer to buy shoes by comparing them with other shoes, reading customer reviews, and checking product ratings.
- Users also like to explore a wide range of options within their budget and expect a good product description, an option to check availability in nearby stores, and better size descriptions to make informed purchase decisions.
- Advanced search filters and the ability to compare with other brands are also essential features that users expect in an e-commerce application.
- By creating personas, empathy maps, user journey maps, and card sorting exercises, I gained valuable insights into the user's perspective, needs, and pain points, which helped me design a user-centric solution.
- The prototypes I created for the Android and iOS platforms adhered to the respective human interface and material design guidelines, which ensured a consistent and seamless user experience across both platforms.
- By creating a style guide and hi-fi prototypes, I ensured that the design was visually consistent and aligned with the user's preferences and expectations.
- Overall, this project taught me the importance of conducting user research, analyzing data, and creating user-centric solutions to create a seamless and satisfying user experience in an e-commerce application.
